This explains what Malhotra Labs collects when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only — testing you have done at the lab is governed by our clinical record-keeping obligations.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in an enquiry form or tap through to WhatsApp, we receive what you choose to send:
- Your name and phone number
- The test or package you are asking about
- Your city or collection address
- Anything you write in a message — which may include symptoms, how long you have had a fever, or a prescription you share
Health information deserves particular care. If you tell us about symptoms so we can advise which test suits you, that is health data. We use it to answer you and arrange your test. We do not use it for advertising, and we never send it to any advertising platform.

- Roughly where you arrived from — a search, a link, or a specific advertisement
- Basic device and browser information
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We ask before setting any that are not strictly necessary. You can change your mind at any time using the link at the bottom of this page.

We also count page views ourselves. That count is a daily total only — it contains no name, no cookie and nothing that identifies you — so it runs whatever you choose.
Why we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and arrange your test — including calling or messaging you back
- To send your report and follow up where clinically appropriate
- To understand which pages and advertisements work, so we spend sensibly and improve the site
- To meet our legal and clinical record obligations
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Google and Meta receive behaviour only. They are told that a page was viewed or a test was tapped. They are never sent your name, phone number, address, symptoms or test results. This separation is built into how the site is written, not left to chance.
Where we do share:
- WhatsApp — if you choose to message us, that conversation happens on WhatsApp and is also governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
- Our hosting and enquiry systems — which store enquiries so our team can call you back.
- Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
- Website enquiries — kept while we follow up, then for up to 24 months so we can find your earlier request if you come back.
- Visit counts — daily totals only, kept indefinitely because they identify nobody.
- Clinical records — kept for the period required of a diagnostic laboratory.
You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what information about you we hold, and who we have shared it with
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase information we no longer need
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave — including your cookie choice
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to
Ask on either number above. We will respond as quickly as we can, and within the time the law allows. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Enquiries are held on access-controlled systems. Staff pages require a sign-in, are excluded from search engines, and are never cached by shared systems. We keep the number of people who can see enquiry details to those who need it to do their work.
Children
This website is intended for adults. Where a test is for a child, we expect a parent or guardian to make the enquiry and provide the information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be brought to your attention on the site.
